4G connection problem - log description?

Hi!

We have a Cosy131 that we intend to use as a “commissioning” box around the world. It has a SIM card from Sweden and is working in Sweden. However when connected to power in Denmark it doesn’t find a network.

The LOG showed this over and over again:

20/10/2022 16:26:13 -20205 pattern of 1 event muted 2 times
20/10/2022 16:24:10-20205 muting (pattern of 1 event)
20/10/2022 16:24:10-27255 emodem-GPRS attach operation failed
20/10/2022 16:23:11-27255 emodem-GPRS attach operation failed
20/10/2022 16:22:59-27208 emodem-GSM network not found
20/10/2022 16:19:51-27252 emodem-Modem RESET (6)
20/10/2022 16:19:49-27225 emodem-The maximum number of dialout error has been reached and modem will be reset

Do I need to do anything in the cosy to allow roaming? Or is this something I have to take with the operator?

I can’t find anything in the settings, but when adding the internet settings I have to choose country and APN. Sweden and online.telia.se.

Hello,

You will need to discuss this with cellular provider regarding the roaming. The Ewon unit will need to be able to see cellular provider network to connect. So if the area doesn’t have an available network, it will not connect.

Can we based on the log know if the cosy did:

  1. Not connect since there was no network available
  2. Not connect since it had roaming disabled?

If there is not network, they will show in logs when it attempts to connect.

Our logs will not show whether roaming was enabled or not
