AB7000-C fieldbys configuration error

Hello,

this is my first time using HMS products.
I need to interface my Siemens S7 1500 CPU with HMS AB7000-C.
I have added in hardware configuration of my Siemens project the device, assigned Profibus address 6, added one 32 bytes input module.
I have set on the HMS device the proper Profibus node address.
When I connect the Siemens CPU to the AB7000-C device, the led “4” starts blinking at 1Hz: “Configuration error”.

Since the manual is quite poor, I can’t understand what kind on configuration error I am dealing with…
Can you please help me?

Hello @dadoverga,

It sounds like there is an issue with how the device was added to you PLC. Is the PLC giving you and error message and feed back?

Other things worth checking would be to make sure you are are using the GSD file on the files and docs page. https://www.anybus.com/support/file-doc-downloads/communicator-specific/?orderCode=ab7000
And make sure you have a configuration downloaded to the device.

Hello,

first of all, thanks for your prompt answere.
I have solved the problem that was caused by a configuration error: the amount of bytes of the answer, was smaller than the input bytes configured on Siemens Tia Project.
