I have a legacy machine with an AB7007-C gateway that I am integrating into a newer build. I do not have the configuration cable for the gateway, but so far haven’t had an issue with that as the configuration was still stored and I only had to change the IP address. The issue I am having is the IP is reseting itself each time power is cycled (going to 172.29.0., which I assume is default). I confirmed in the IP tool that it is not set to use DHCP, but I don’t see any other settings that would cause the address to not be static. Is this something I need the configuration cable/software to address?
The IP address set in the configuration file takes precedence over the IP address set with IPConfig. You will need to make or purchase a configuration cable to update the IP address in the config.
