Good morning All,

I would like to know if it is possible to copy (upload) the profibus configuration from one Anybus-X-Gateway and install (download) it to another Anybus-X-Gateway (like for like)?

I did swap the anybus x gateway between unit 1 and 2 as the unit 2 gate away was damage. Now I received the new anybus x gateway to replace on unit 1 but I don’t have the project (gsd file). Therefore, I would like to know if it is possible to upload the profibus project from the running gateway and download to the new anybus x gateway as both units has the same configuration.

NB:

  • Anybus x gateway: AB7629-B, Serial AOOEBDF6, FW:3.14.01

  • Anybus xgateway perform the interface between woodward micronet plus controller (master) and Allen bradley I/O modules (slaves).

Hi @Luwengo,

I’m sorry, but there is no way to upload the configuration file for NetTool for Profibus from a device. You will need to create a new configuration file if you no longer have the original. Make sure you have the GSD files for all Profibus nodes.
