AB7672 gateway setup

Hi!

We have a system containing a Mitsubishi Q06HCPU with QJ71DN91 devicenet master module, a AB7672 gateway and a Deprag AST40 Ethernet/IP controller. We are struggling to set up the Ethernet/IP side running (NS LED blinking). We configured the IP addresses and set the input/output data sizes (224/224) but the communication is not established. Furthermore the manual writes that we should apply the EDS file in the ethernet/ip configuring tool, but we didn’t find any software like this on your webpage. We are using this type of gateway for the first time, but if we can manage to make it work then future purchases are most likely.

Hello @andrew_csapo,

Do you know what data assembly instances you need to read from the Deprag AST40? From the webpage you can setup a scan List to read data, see section 4.2 of the EIP scanner user guide. You will need to know the connection points and size for the assembly instances you need to read. This should be in the devices user guide or can typically be read in the EDS file.

Alternatively, you can use a third party configuration tool such as RSNetWorx to configure the scan list.

You should be able to use this info to setup the scan list from the EIP scanners webpage.

EIP config did the trick… we just had to play a little with the instances… works like a charm.
