I am trying to verify the ethernet connection to an AB7702 without having the serial connection in place. I have configured the device and have connected to the AB7702 using the IP address in a browser. However, my OPC server is returning an error code that indicates that no response was obtained from the target device. Is this because the serial side is not connected?

The error could be that there is no data from the Anybus unit to the OPCUA server.
Connect the serial end and verify communication.
