Anybus AB7061 writing over msg

@anonvcozybhs
Hey Eric,

Can you send me your .cfg file? I really think what the AB is doing is writing to the first four bytes and then writing over them again. If I can get the config hopefully I can figure it out for you!

Kyle

I am also using this file to communicate with a laser welder. We have the same problem, we can communicate to the welder, the response back is shown in the log correct. The node monitor and the OMRON PLC registers do not keep that data or it gets changed to differ data before the PLC can read it. I am going to include a text file that shows the laser’s response in the log.

Is it possible to give me what the actual data you are receiving is, so that I can see when it is getting cut off? It seems to be a problem with the delimeter, start or stop character.

I will also attempt to change those setting to see if the anybus can send the correct string to the PLC

Hi Kyle I was wondering if you found out anything new with our problem? I am being pushed to have these working or use RTA communicators.

I still have not found a solution to the problem. The OMRON NJ PLC sends the messages just fine to my two rs232 devices. The Replies from these two devices can be seen in the data log, but it data does not make it back the the OMRON NJ PLC. I get one or sometime two of the ascii strings back in the PLC followed by one to three CR symbols (13). It is never consistent on what it is going to return.

Can you please try disabling and/or changing the End Character Delimeter and let me know if there is a change?
