Anybus wireless bolt II issues

@John_Rudick
Some of these are the 18 pin devices, some of these are the ethernet models.

There seems to be issues with these devices dropping out when connecting to HMIs

Tim, here’s how 13 lines are connected with Wi-Fi Bolts:

(12) HMI panels with a PS, Etherwan unmanaged 5 port switch, Red Lion CR3000 HMI, VIPA Modbus TCP bus coupler with three IO points, and the latest Bolt. These panels connect, through a Cisco Access Point, to another panel that has a PS, Etherwan 5 port Unmanaged Switch, Red Lion Productivity Unit (sending data to SQL across the Wi-Fi network.

I found a similar system in South Dakota that has (10) Direct Automation PLC’s and HMI’s on some mobile machines having the same drop out problems. These Bolts are the 18 pin style. I had them add the latest firmware and it made things worse.

We have about (20) lines with the same hardware cabled together and we don’t any problems. I ‘m also expecting an order for five lines using the Bolt but don’t feel confident in the Bolt. Any ideas?

Hi John,

Sorry for the delay, did anyone get in contact with you about these bolts?

-Tim

No, we’re doing it ourselves.

Ok,

Let me know if there’s any issues

Are you saying the power is dropping or the network connectivity?

Adam, this was back in December.
