AnyBus Wireless Bridge II - Host Mode?

I have the Wireless Bridge II.

My goal is to use this to host a network that will allow me to control a PLC from a tablet interface. The Bridge II will be hardwired to the PLC and the tablet will be in a remote location.

When configuring the settings on this device I only see client mode or AP mode. As far as I know, an AP does not have the same capabilities as a host would, so maybe this device will not work for my application?

Could someone please clarify this for me?

Thanks,

Kane

Hello Kane,

AP mode sounds like the mode you are interested in. This will allow you to broadcast an SSD and allow your tablet to connect to it. You also can enable or disable the DHCP server which will assign up to 7 IP addresses on the network or you can just assign IP addresses statically.

What capabilities are you expecting a host to have?

Deryck,

Thanks for the response, I think you have cleared this up for me. As long as it can broadcast a network that my tablet will be able to connect to and one pure IP camera then that is the only capability I will need. IP’s will be set manually

Thanks,

Kane
