AnyBus Wireless Bridge II - orientation

Using two Wireless Bridge II units - as a cable replacement for comms between two A-B PLCs.
One unit is configured as a Client and the other as an Access Point - wireless - Ethernet at 5 GHz. This is all working - but we want to optimize - to minimize issues. We have unobstructed line of sight between the two units - and they are mounted such that they are “facing” each other.

Our main question is - does the mounting orientation of the units matter? If the units are facing each other, but one is oriented such that the connectors are pointed down - and the other is oriented such that the connectors are pointed to the side - is that OK - or is it better if they both are oriented the same way?

Any “best practices” advice on this topic would be appreciated. Thanks.

They are semi-directional, and make work OK the way you have them, but for best results they should be oriented the same direction and facing each other. You can also put a metal plate behind them to increase the signal strength we’ve found.
