Trying to get connected with my Anybus X Gateway. I have the X Gateway config tool but every time I try to upload or download it gives me a connection timeout issue. I set the path in the connection to use COM3 and verified in my device manager. I have also tried multiple power cycles but no luck. Is there another option or something else to try?
When you get the error message, don’t click OK. Power cycle the gateway. Wait about 30 seconds. Click OK and then try again.
If that doesn’t work, please re-install the Anybus Transport Provider, reboot the PC, and try again.
If that doesn’t work, make sure that you can reach the terminal interface with Putty or HyperTerminal. Here are the instructions:
