I need to detect when an automated moving vehicle is in a general area. Can I use the Bolt with Bluetooth as a crude Bluetooth beacon type function?
or is there a better way?
How long would it be in the receiving area?
Would there be walls or other things in the way?
What would the bolt be connecting to when it gets in range?
The area is 25ft x 50ft
I just need to know that the vehicle entered that general area to prevent another vehicle entry at the same time.
The bolt would connect to another bolt which is connected to a SLC 5/05 ethernet controller. The bolt on the vehicle I need to detect would be connected to a Micro820 ethernet controller.
But open to other ideas.
