The Cosy 131 does not support IO server set up with the unit. It is used for remote access only.
Are you trying to monitor tags on a PLC? Or are you just trying to connect to the PLC?
I tried both, but it didn’t work
For creating Tags, you will not be able to create Tag’s on the COSY 131. You will need a Flexy 205 for tagging.
As for the remote access, if the PLC is ethIP. What is the LAN address of the Cosy and what is the LAN address of the PLC?

Does that mean i can’t access tags coming from PLCs connected to my Cosy131? I have a Siemens S7 connected to the LAN and i need to fetch some tags, and from what i read here it give me the impression that i can’t do that.

Hello,
If you have a Cosy 131, you will not be able to pull the tags in to the Cosy. The Cosy unit is used for remote access only.
If you need to monitor tags with our devices, you will need to use the Flexy.
