Control/Status Word and Live List for Omron PLC

Hi Thad,

The Control/Status word is going to depend on the PLC. I forgot to get the model number from you. Do you know what it is or have a link to the documentation?

The Live List provides the active status of the slaves associated with an on-board network interface acting as master. It is only an option in a gateway with a master/slave configuration though, so this will not be relevant in your case as the AB7838 is essentially a slave/slave device.

Thanks for getting back with me so quickly. We will be using an Omron NX102 controller. This controller has two Ethernet/IP scanner ports. Here are the useful links to this product:

Hi Thad,

Thanks for sending those docs. I didn’t see anything about using a Control or Status word in the Manual, so you should just leave that disabled (default).

I was able to find this in the X-Gateway Users Manual (not in the Networking Manual). I should now be good to go.
