Cosy 131 connection issues

I called earlier today and talked with Zack about getting support for our cosy 131 in the field that we don’t see in eCatcher. Attached are the logs from our cosy in the field. This connection checker was run on a tech’s laptop using the same physical cable as we have plugged into port 4 (WAN) on the cosy. His network settings are not static, i.e. his laptop was able to obtain an IP address automatically on the customer’s network to run this test.

Please look through our logs and see if there is something you can suggest. All entries from 14/03 was when the cosy was sitting in our office being configured and tested before shipping. All entries from 15/03 are from the customer site.

Thank you,

James

Hi James,

Sorry it has taken sometime to get back to you. from the log it looks like the WAN network being used has a subnet clash with the LAN. this can be solved a few ways.

  1. You can change the LAN subnet and that of the LAN devices.
  2. You can request a different range of IP addresses be used for the DHCP server so it is no longer clashing with the LAN subnet.
  3. You can install a router on the WAN side to translate the IP address to a different subnet.
