Cosy 131 Eth fw:14.2s0

Hello,
One of our customer is having issue connecting their cosy to one of the vpn server. The customer had claimed that they had configured their firewall correctly to let the cosy connect to the vpn server.
The cosy is still logging the following and still cannot be access thru eCatcher:

|14/05/2021 12:10:14|-33240|t2m-DNS failure, using static Talk2M access server|openvpn|
|14/05/2021 12:10:14|22714|esock-WAN connect on demand failed|openvpn|
|14/05/2021 12:10:14|31105|wanmgt-No route to connect to (92.52.111.213)|openvpn|
|14/05/2021 12:09:12|-21627|uact-NTP time synchronization failed (Server: ntp.talk2m.com)|unact|
|14/05/2021 12:08:44|-33240|t2m-DNS failure, using static Talk2M access server|openvpn|
|14/05/2021 11:46:57|-21627|uact-NTP time synchronization failed (Server: ntp.talk2m.com)|unact|

Can someone let me know why I’m receiving the following log entries?

Does this log indicate that a certain firewall config is not done correctly?

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

It looks like it could be 1 of 2 problems:

1: OpenVPN: While the Firewall is configured, there could be something that is blocking the OpenVPN tunnel from being established. Did they allow OpenVPN network?

2: No Internet: I do see some DNS Failures and WAN Failures. What is the connection method? What is the network type, Static or DHCP?

Hello,
Thank you for the response.
I am not sure if OpenVPN is allowed on their network. I will ask their IT department.
If OpenVPN is not allowed, is there an alternative??
The connection method is hard wired ethernet with a static IP address provided by their IT.

Thank you for you help.

Hello,

They can set up their own VPN tunnel access to the unit. However, we do not have much documentation on the procedure, and we can only assist so much as it isn’t Talk2m.

When they ran the Internet Wizard, did it pass both steps? (WAN Connection and Internet Test)

Hello,
Just spoke with their IT department and was told that they restricting the use of OpenVPN on their firewall by default. They had allowed this now and the COSY started communicating to the vpn server.

Thank you for your help.
