Cozy 131 / Internet access / IP address conflict

Hello Gents,

Please help with the following issue.

The customer network network is setup as the same network as our system (which has around 25 devices on EIP). We are both using 192.168.1.xxx. We are trying to avoid changing all these device addresses. We are able to set a different IP address for the Cosy (10.20.30.100), and access it through a WiFi hot spot through the customer network. However, we cannot access our devices because they are not on the same network.
Can we setup Cozy as router somehow to be able to connect to the machine network with 192.168.1.xxx IP addresses and the customers network?

Thanks you

Hello,

The Ewon itself IS a router and it’s because of this that you cant have both WAN and LAN interfaces configured for the same subnet. If there’s overlap between the IPs available, the router can’t know which interface to send traffic to.

You have to resolve the conflict by changing one of the Ewon’s subnets. Ideally you would change all your device IPs too but you can also add a second router to the network in order to keep all your devices the same and avoid any LAN/WAN conflicts.

Jack

Hello Jack,

Thanks for the answer.
Could you recommend a router please?

I would personally suggest a second Ewon as configuring the device will be the same.
