Hey Scott,
Let me know if you have any questions

Tim,
Thanks…. As I look through this it doesn’t seem possible that it was us. Nobody was even touching this project the first week when all that data was transferring. Is there a way to see where/how this connection came from.
Scott Mleziva
Hey Scott,
Sorry can you send me the iccid of the device again?
Thanks,
-Tim
Tim,
MOVED TO NOTES

Scott Mleziva
Hey Scott,
This is just showing that we had data sent to our server. But we tell what data was sent. We’re wondering if maybe there was a firmware update performed on the device when it was on remote access
We were originally wondering if the signal for the device was low and maybe it was burning through data trying to connect, but it looks like the signal was pretty strong.
Hi Tim,
Yes the cell signal was very good and we did not do a firmware update remotely. Some of the dates were on the weekend when nobody would have even been trying to connect.
Scott Mleziva
Is there anybody who could keep an eye on the data usage right now if we turn the sim back on?
Tim,
How about we try that next week? I’m in the office all week and can spend some time monitoring.
Scott Mleziva
Sounds good to me,
Have a good weekend Scott
-Tim
Morning Tim,
Does tomorrow work for you to run some tests?
I’m pretty open tomorrow to work on it.
Scott Mleziva
That works,
What time are you thinking for tomorrow?
I’m in CST, I’m not sure where you are located, but how about right away at 8AM CST?
Scott Mleziva
We’re in EST,
8AM CST works for me though. I’ll make sure I’m free at that time
Cool, Just give me a call when you are ready.
Scott Mleziva
Hey Scott,
I’m just waiting to hear back from customer service to reactivate the card.
-Tim
Any luck with reactivating?
Scott Mleziva
Tim,
Something still doesn’t seem right with the quantity of data that being transferred. We were at 40MB for an upload which is a paired down amount of data from the full blown program. When I look at my PLC program file it’s only a little over 3MB. Plus it seems like that data transfer is continuous even if I’m not connected to the PLC or doing anything, it continues just by having the tunnel connected. Is that normal?
Scott Mleziva
Hey Scott,
The amount of data that shows up on our end may not just depend on the size of the file that was sent to the plc. It is for any traffic that was sent out that may include things such as re-transmissions. Does it still show a large amount of data being sent even when it is changed into remote data mode instead of remote access?
Tim,
I can’t see that, I can only see the data rate and accumulation when I’m connected, you’d have to tell me. When I was talking to Christy and disconnected she said it seemed to stop but that was only a short timeframe.
Hey Tim,
I had to connect again because we received a couple of alarm notifications and this time I could tie the time date changed directly to running the HMI application. As soon as the HMI app connected my time/date changed.
This time the data was updating quickconnect until my time/date changed, I think that’s screwing up the argos software as well. So I don’t think it’s a problem with netbiter or argos/quickconnect software.
Weird!
