I’m looking into getting the Anybus X-gateway – DeviceNet Scanner - PROFINET-IO Device to connect a Siemens S7-1500 using Profisafe to an ABB robot controller on DeviceNet. The product page for the Gateway says that configuration is easy with just the Anybus Configuration Manager software, but the Network Guide - DeviceNet Scanner includes the Anybus NetTool DN software. Is NetTool DN necessary or can only the Anybus Configuration Manager software be used?

There are limited DeviceNet configuration options:
You will need to use NetTool DN or another DeviceNet configuration tool for network configuration. There is a free version at anybus.com for up to 2 nodes.

How do I retrieve original DN source code from HMS Anybus? I have Anybus Article # AB7672.
I currently have a .HCG file from the DN side of the Anybus.
.HCG file back to original source code. Does Anybus have a tool for this?

I’m not sure I can get you the source code, I can look into it, but if you are trying to get the data from the .hcg file, you can open the file using NetTool to look at the data.
