I have an ec350 with firmware 1.7.9. I tried to update using the 1.4.5 to 1.8.1 and even the 1.8. I keep getting a Bad Signature error though. I have done a factory reset to clear all configuration out. I am attempting do do the firmware update via Ethernet connection. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
I suspect the time is not set on the device which is causing the signature to fail. This can happen when a device is powered off for an extended period of time.
If you connect it to the internet for a few minutes it will connect and update the time. After that you should have no issues updating the device.

i also had issue to updating my old EC350 1.7.9 to latest version. The date is show 1970, may i know how to sync the time with system?
In older firmware the only way to update the time is to connect the WAN interface to the internet.
In the latest firmware you can set the time from the local webpage.
