The Netbiter EC350 operated well for remote PLC connection, and in operations mode. This is after the help from earlier call for help “Urgent: leaving USA tomorrow” . Then it stopped communicating. The following is a dump of events including what may not be relevant:
- Initial and replacement SIMs from AT&T are pre-paid with no known restrictions to SMS or other data services. Accounts are active and fully paid.
- Firmware version of initial and replacement EC350 was 2.03.03 and now 2.03.05.
- Account in ARGOS is MA.
- The EC350 functioned correctly in remote connection and MA modes for around one month until sometime after 17th Jan 2020.
- Factory reset did not resolve the problem.
- No response is transmitted for the EC350 after receiving the SMS from ARGOS to set up APN as “broadband”.
- APN can be set to “broadband” by direct USB or Ethernet connection t local laptop.
- Indicator lights show modem “green” but Uplink “red”. ARGOS only sees connection when EC350 is connected directly by ethernet cable to open internet service, not over modem.
- EC350 system ID 003011FA50B0 was changed for spare EC350 system ID 003011FA50AC. Not change to problem.
- SIM was checked by AT&T. No problem found.
- SIM +17247302307 was replaced with new SIM +17246517086 from AT&T. No change to problem.
- Log files of EC350 can be downloaded via USB or ethernet connection to local laptop.
- Log files show timeclock reset to 2002. Likely cause is extended disconnection from power of over 1 hour and being unable to synchronize over modem, when re-energized.
- Internal web pages show connection to the cell tower and a healthy signal strength.
- SMS sent from Argos shows successful receipt on ARGOS but connection to Argos never comes online causing Netbiter to continually power cycle.
Any help and suggestions are welcomed.
