the message it keeps saying on both is that it is ending prematurely and nothing was changed
What version of Windows and what type of anti-virus software do you have?
You could try installing this version, then updating.
Windows 10, none , and that version didnt work either
Another thing of note is that even though it gives me that error message installing , it lets me run the app , but when I try to connect to something I get an error message saying
Tap windows adapter talk2m-ecatcher not found
on both versions
Go to this folder: ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\eCatcher-Talk2M\Talk2mVpnService\drivers’ and run addtap.bat as Admin, then run renametap.vbs.
What’s happening is something is blocking the TAP adapter installation. What type of anti-virus/security software is running on the PC?
