EWON ecatcher 'Java Exception' issue

Hello,

I was thrown with a “Java exception has occurred” error while starting the ecatcher. Using ecatcher 6.7.10. PC is an i5-6300U running Windows 10, latest updates installed, intel chipsets.

Below is the image of the issue.

How could this be resolved?

Thank you,
Abhishek Doshi

You have Java installed (check Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features)?

Did you reboot the PC after installing eCatcher?

Did eCatcher run before or was it just installed?

Hello,

Java is not installed in Programs and Features; it’s embedded in ecatcher.

Yes, rebooted.

Only just installed.

Thank you,
Abhishek Doshi

Do you see a TAP adapter in ‘Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections’ named ‘Talk2m-eCatcher’?

Please share the log files from ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\eCatcher-Talk2M\Talk2mVpnService\logs’.

Do you have an anti-virus or other security software other than Windows built-in programs?

What is the solution here?
I have a customer that is experiencing the same issue but there doesn’t appear to be a definitive action that brought about a resolution.

Please create a case at support.hms-networks.com for assistance with this. It could be 3rd party security software creating a conflict or a problem with the JVM, but you’ll have to work with your local support team.
