Ewon Flexy 205 Flexy Modem issue

I am getting this 22201 issue with my Flexy 205 and won’t connect to the internet.
The device reboots very quite often when I am trying to restart modem. The model initialization will stop at 003/038 or 007/038. Can someone help?

Hi @JimmyLi,

Did you pull the modem out when you made the backup? Looks like it wasn’t being detected, so I can’t tell what firmware is running on it. I’d recommend trying the SIB Fix tool first (download from link):

The modem was installed when I made the backup. Sometimes, the device will work for a few mins and then reboot. We tried factory reset using the reset button.

The last time we used the Ewon was back in 2019. After a year, it stopped working. I am just wondering if this is something normal? The firmware was updated to the latest.

There is a tool for updating the modem firmware here. Please download and run that. It’s entirely separate from the Ewon firmware.

The modem is stuck at the initializing stage. We tried restart many times. sometimes, it works for 5 mins before the device reboots.

Have you run the SiB Fix tool yet??

it won’t run until the modem is initialized. Error message popped up. The modem is in 003/038 initializing mode for 3 hours.

I’d like to RMA the modem. Can you get the serial number from it?

I’m going to create a ticket, and you will get an email with a Case number. You will just need to contact your distributor and give them the case number and they will handle the RMA for you.
