Flexy 205 4G card connection

New flexy installation with a 4G card. During the set up wizard: Cannot establish a WAN connection.
ANy suggestions would be appeciated. See the following error codes:

Hello @John,

Can you please send us the backup with support files of your ewon? So we can see the rest of the logs. In order to get the backup with support files of your ewon:

  • please go to the eBuddy software → right click on the device → Backup/Restore → select backup and check the box “include support files” → continue to save the file, then you can send the file to us.

Also, double check your APN and any other credentials required by your service provider, and try running the internet wizard again.

Hi John,

Is your flexy using an HMS Zipit simcard? If so, then the required APN would be zipitwireless.com.attz instead of the APN from your service provider.

Also, I would suggest running the system wizard again and change port #4 to WAN because I have seen issues when having all ports are configured as LAN, so just for troubleshooting purposes you can change that port to WAN.

After that, you can run the internet wizard again as well, and this time you can input the right APN (usually username and password is not needed, so try leaving it blank, but if your service provider does require such credentials, then go to System → Communication → Networking → Modem → Server 1 → input your username and password and check the “Require Secure Authentication (CHAP)”, or just input the credentials while running the wizard).

Also, looks like you are using your ethernet port now, instead of your modem, correct?

Also, was your flexy originally using an HMS Zipit simcard?

Hi @John,

I did receive the file, and looking at your backup, you are now using the ethernet connection on the device instead of the modem, and trying to troubleshoot the sim card on the modem. So you’d have to explain to the field engineer that he should unplug the port #4 WAN connection from the device.

Once that is done, run the internet wizard again (and select the modem option). Also, your signal strength is a bit low (18/31), so relocating the ewon or checking the antenna could improve your connection. However, for now the most important thing is to remove that WAN connection because your device is trying to get an IP, but the WAN connection is not leading to the internet.
