Flexy used for multiple machines

Hi guys,

Are you aware of an issue regarding mutiple machines that communicates through ewon LAN side and that one of the machines loses communications?

Example, 2 baggers and one conveyor are linked through an ewon. Bagger A and Bagger B communicates to a conveyor that is also connected to a Flexy. At some point, they lose one of the two baggers.

Both baggers use same PLC but different than conveyor.

To workaround it, they power cycle the unit and you’re good up to the next miscommunication…

Do you have any clues about that? Could it be related with firmware 11 networking issues?

Please let me know.

Power cycling the eWON resolves the issue?

I think it may benefit them to update the FW of the eWON to 12.1s2 so that we can see additional logs. This will allow us to see if there is noise that’s affecting the switch. Additionally, connecting a switch to the eWON and then using this switch for the LAN devices instead of the eWON may help if the issue is related to noise on the eWON’s switch.

If you could provide a network diagram (with IP addresses) then that may help as well.

HI @hms_support,

They will upgrade firmware from 11.0s0 to latest one.

Good recommendation that they pass by a switch to isolate noise!

I will let you know.
