How to speed up local IO response time

I am working on a project using a 3402 card, which needs the local inputs and outputs to respond faster. If I make one of the outputs = one of the inputs in the cyclic section of the basic program, then put a logical 1 (say 24 volts) on that input, the output does not change state very quickly, might at times take more than 1 second to change state. Same happens if I make the built in output DO1 = DI 1 for instance. I have turned OFF all the IO drivers but that did not help. How can I ensure faster response from input to output?

Hey Tom,

I don’t believe that it would be possible to get a real time IO with the 3402 card, but I’ll need to check with Belgium on Monday to make sure

Hey Tom,

Sorry for the late response, but unfortunately it’s not possible to increase the speed of the 3402 card.

Best Regards,
