I am trying to get remote access to one of our customers PLC. Here is the issue I am having, Our IP address for our PLC is 192.168.1.10. I set the eWON LAN to 192.168.1.248. The issue is that the customers network that I have to connect to has an IP Address of 192.168.1.209. when set up process the network will not establish an WAN connection. How do I fix this? One more thing just to try I changed my LAN on the eWON to 172.16.1.248 and everything connected right up.

Are devices require the WAN and LAN connection to be two different subnets. When you changed the address to 172.16.1.248 there was no longer a conflict. To access the PLC on the LAN side you will have to use the same subnet.

Yes the subnets are all 255.255.255.0 so doesn’t the LAN Ports address on the eWON have to match my plc’s is address for me to see it?

So are you saying to change the subnet from 255.255.255.0 on the LAN 255.255.0.0 and it should work?

Since the LAN will also see that the WAN has 192.168.x.x it will still consider it a clash since that is inside the LAN’s subnet.
