Is there a way to view Bolt channel and frequency being used?

In order to help our IT group with network surveys it would be beneficial to be able to see which specific channels and frequencies are being used for the various network communications formats (both WiFi and Bluetooth)

Is there a way to view this information directly or via AT commands? Perhaps something for future firmware to add this to the UI.

(I’m running v1.3.8 but I didn’t see this as an added feature in the latest firmware updates. Let me know if an upgrade has provided this information)

Any help is appreciated,
Regards,
RSMike

Hello Mike,

First, I would strongly suggest you update the device to the latest firmware. While this feature was not added we have made many improvements and changes to the device. We are currently on Service pack 3 (1.6.3).

In respect to the frequency question, with WiFi you will be selecting the channel in the WLAN settings page. You can select the frequency to be 2.4Ghz or 5 Ghz along with the specific channel. Bluetooth will automatically hop frequencies and no specific frequency is selected. It will fall under the standard Bluetooth frequencies. Wikipedia states the following " Bluetooth operates at frequencies between 2402 and 2480 MHz, or 2400 and 2483.5 MHz including guard bands 2 MHz wide at the bottom end and 3.5 MHz wide at the top." I found this document with information about the ublox module we use https://fccid.io/PVH0965/User-Manual/user-manual-2819882
You can also download our FCC certification here: https://www.anybus.com/docs/librariesprovider7/default-document-library/certifications/hms-scr-7714-068.zip?sfvrsn=903dbbd6_14

I do not seem anything though the AT commands that you can not see on the standard webpage. The AT command manual is available on the files and documentation page on Anybus.com.
