MQTT Connect failed

Hi,

I’m trying to establish connection from my FLEXY 205 to Amazon ASW.

I tried to use this guide:

https://techforum.ewon.biz/thread-559-post-2874.html#pid2874

https://techforum.ewon.biz/attachment.php?aid=310

but still gets "Operation failed (28) : Mqtt “CONNECT”

When I’m trying to code in the tester: https://tools.ewonsupport.biz/mqtt/

I do get the message the ewon sends, but can’t send to the ewon.

What can be the problem?

Thanks,
Yair

Can you please send me a Backup of the Ewon created using eBuddy with Support Files included?

Hi,
MOVED TO STAFF NOTE (58.5 KB)
Yes. I added to my comment.

Thank you. It appears to be an issue with your certificate files names. The DeviceID, which is used to compute the path to the cert, does not match the name of the cert files.

Hi Kyle,

Thanks. Now I can connect, but no data is transferred.

Does the change of the “AWSIOT.shtm” webpage is a must? I noticed that when I log in to the webpage by with XXX.XXX.XXX.XX/usr/AWSIOT.shtm I get errors in ewon console:

I thought maybe the files are not in the usr folder, but they are.

Another thing - that the topic name in the BASIC IDE script needs to be identical to the topic I publish to in the AWS website? I made them the same - but still, doesn’t work.

That’s the message I get in console:

but even when I change the tags , it doesn’t work.

You do not need to use the website anymore as Simon noted in that thread.

It looks like you may not have selected a group for your tags.

Hi,

I noticed this morning that I didn’t select group for my tags and I changed it, but still it doesn’t work.

Also when I publish on AWS it doesn’t appear on the Flexy.

I think you should probably work directly with your local HMS office in order to get the best support for this problem. You can create a case at https://mysupport.hms.se or give them a call.

Hi Kyle,

I’m the local distributer of HMS in Israel

I oppened a ticket in the technical support website. hope it will help. Thanks!

OK great - they will be able to put you in touch with the Ewon team in Belgium who can further assist you with your MQTT set up, including phone / Teams or remote access sessions if needed. Please let me know if you have any issues with your case.

Thanks!

Kyle
