Profinet Master - HMS loses Device name after reboot

Hello,

I am using a siemens 1516TF-3 Processor, and have an AnyBus-S PROFINET IO module inside of a Kawasaki robot controller. This device will initially accept our device name, and communicate with the PLC. When we power cycle the robot controller (powers the any bus module), it forces us to re-assign the device name from the PLC. It appears to boot up with a device name that does not match the standard profinet format.

Any ideas?

Hi @Mitchellb ,

I am not sure why this would be happening. The device should keep its name. Could something else on the network be changing it? Perhaps the device was damaged in some way?

Where this is an embedded device you will need to reach out to Kawasaki for assistance.
