We have a customer who is looking to get remote access to a variety of devices without IP addresses over Profinet. Would this work? What additional information might we need?
Do we have any documentation on profinet and the Cosy/Flexy for remote access?

We can do profinet with the Siemens S7, but that’s because we have the IO server set up within the Flexy. We do not have an established method to communicate on profinet networks to various devices.
Hi Chris, I’m reaching way back into my memory, but I think the PROFINET devices DO have an IP address, but it is automatically assigned in the background and not readily visible to the user. However, I believe there is a way to get this info out of the devices, but unfortunately I don’t remember how. Maybe the customer can reach out to their Siemens distributor for advice on how to find the IP address.
