Reboot Reason:watchdog in process (biditr)

Hello,

I have been having issues with my ewon flexy 205. I initially was contacted about alarms being sent every couple minutes. Normally, these alarms are only sent once until it goes out of alarm and re-enters alarm condition.

It appears the unit has been continuously rebooting. I have attached the text of the event log below.

Why is this occuring? The unit was fine up until this point.

Thanks

MOVED TO STAFF NOTE (244.5 KB)

I have attached a backup with the logs. I have an ethernet cable currently unplugged as the unit was continuously sending out emails and texts.

Thank you for the back up of the unit.

I will review the files to pin point the root cause of the issue.

Seems as though when the WAN port is unplugged, it is not rebooting. After I plugged it back in, it started rebooting again. Not sure if that is just a coincidence.

hello Kieth,

i apologize for the delay for my response.

Earlier this morning a couple of our Talk2m Servers went down. This caused the VPN connection to be unstable. What i found with a unit at my desk is that this caused watchdog errors to occur due to the unstable VPN connection. I diasbled my internet connection (as you did by removing the WAN), and power cycled the unit. The reboot errors did not occur.

I do have good news though. Our VPN servers have been returned to normal functionality. I advise doing a reboot, and watching for those logs to occur again.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks for getting back to me. Something needs to be put in place to prevent the units from continuously rebooting in the future. The guys were getting text messages every minute or so. Fortunately it happened during the morning so it wasn’t quite as bad.

Hello Keith,

This has been documented for further analysis.

The server impact has will be reviewed to ensure that a failure does not extend to the devices on such to an extent.

I do apologize for the inconvenience
