Remote access Micrologix 1400 through Cosy 131

Hello,

I am trying to establish remote access to micrologix 1400 through Cosy 131. I have confirmed that Cosy 131 is online and connected through Talk2M server. In the meantime, I followed the instruction and added the PLC LAN IP address to Rslinx (Ethernet Driver, not EthernetIP). But I still cannot get remote access to the PLC.

In the meantime, if I just switched the Cosy 131 to Flexy 201 (I have more experience with Flexy), everything works.

It looks like I messed up some settings on Cosy 131 because Flexy 201 can do the job. Any suggestions on this problem?

Thank you,
Tony

Hi Tony,

Is the device responding to pings when you’re connecting it over the Cosy?

Hi Tim,

I can ping Cosy, but cannot ping PLC over Cosy.

Tony

What’s the IP address of the PLC and what’s the IP address of the Cosy?

PLC: 10.1.35.230/255.255.255.0
Cosy:10.1.35.210/255.255.255.0

I attached the backup with system files below.

Hi Tony,

Is there anything else in that 10.1.35.xxx range that you could ping to see if it’s an issue with the cosy or if it’s an issue with the plc?

Tim,

This is what I have tried.

Device 1 (10.1.35.230): Ping directly with LAN. Successful.
Device 2 (10.1.35.200): Ping directly with LAN. Successful.

Cosy (10.1.35.210): Ping after connected to Talk2M. Successful.
Device 1 (10.1.35.230): Ping through Cosy. Failed.
Device 2 (10.1.35.200): Ping through Cosy. Failed.

I am the “user” of this Talk2m account, NOT the “admin”. Does this affect?

Thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony,

Can we setup a time to take a look at this over Teamviewer when you’re free?

@Tim_hms

Can we do it first thing tomorrow morning (8:30AM Eastern time)? The equipment will be shipped out on Wednesday.
I will share my ID and password once I log in tomorrow morning.

Thanks,
Tony
