Tag size based on tag type

Hello,

I need help determining (1) how the eWON caps the size limits on total number of tags, and (2) how much space each tag type uses.

(1) I’m seeing conflicting information. I’ve always been told a total of 2500 tags can be defined, or up to 1500 per IO server. However in this document below says that the only tag limitation is based on memory available, and only 500 tags per IO server are allowed. What is correct?

(2) Where can I find information on each of the tag sizes that contribute to the 256 KB maximum?

Thank you!

Hey There,

Has anyone had the chance to look into this?

Thank you!

Hello,

The document you referencing to is older and based around firmwares that is no longer active.

The Ewon caps the limit of tags based on memory. The entries can be made, but you risk system performance once you exceed 350.

I have embedded a document that explains tag size and allocation.

In order for safe device functionality, wee advise a limit of 350 tags.
