The NAT1:1 VS AB RsLogix problem

Hello,

One of our client has the NAT1:1 communication problem to his Logix5561.
He is able to ping his equipment, but isn’t able to see it in the RsLinx Classic software.

The equipment is visible in the network.

But in the RsLinx he doesn’t see the equipment, so he isn’t able to connect to his PLC.

Below you can find a link to the Flexy back up.

Thank you.

He will still need to use an ethernet devices driver as the NAT 1:1 still requires some level of routing. The ethernet/ip driver uses a broadcast message to discover the PLC and broadcast messages cannot traverse a router.

Have your customer add the IP he set up for the NAT 1:1 to an Ethernet devices driver.

I have this issue but I do not understand the solution described.
What is the Ethernet devices driver that is described in the solution? Is that a driver within the Flexy or is it outside of the Flexy? Is that describing the IO server setup?

Jordan is referring to the driver setup in RSlinx.

You will want to setup an Ethernet driver and add the IP of the device. As Jordan mentions the broadcast messages used with the ethernet/IP driver is not able to find the device.

Thank you for the clarification.
