Hi, I have the Sevcon Gen 4 Size 6 inverter and the IXXAT USB-CAN V2 for programming it. I can’t get the USB-CAN to communicate with the inverter even though the computer recognizes it. Would it be necessary to put some kind of resistor between the CAN-HIGH or CAN-LOW or do something special? Thanks.
Yes, you would follow standard CAN bus practices of making sure the CAN bus is properly terminated. If it was terminated before adding the USB-to-CAN V2, and the USB-to-CAN V2 is now the end of line device, the resistor should be removed from the previous EOL device and connected to the USB-to-CAN V2.
