I’m trying to set up an X-gateway AB7670-F as an ethernet/IP scanner and r30ib plus fanuc controller as an adapter. The gateway is communicating with my PLC fine but it won’t connect to my fanuc controller, blinking MS red and NS green lights and the controller not finding a scanner IP. robot is added to scan list with 32 bytes in/out, connection points O->T 101 T->O 151 and config 100 according to a fanuc manual, ethernet ip in ACM is set to 32 bytes in/out and control word and statistics lists disabled, robot controller connection is set to 16 words in/out, digital inputs/outputs are set to rack 89 slot 1. Gateway ethernet/ip side and robot port 1 (port 2 had the same result) is connected to a switch. Robot can ping the gateway. Anybus was set up using ACM / IPConfig / built in web config. Do I have to load an EDS for the robot somewhere? Any other suggestions?
I’m a little confused by this. Is this a PLC on the PROFINET or Ethernet/IP network?
That sounds right. Can you share the manual?
You can use either port. There is no difference between them.
No, but if you have an EDS file, can you share it?
Yes. Are you able to mirror a port on the switch and take a packet capture?
I ALSO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE mario_h, I USE FANUC’S ROBGUIDE SOFTWARE FOR SIMULATION TESTING, DOES THIS HAVE ANY IMPACT?
The PLC is a Siemens 15010SP and it’s profinet, however the only problem was a skill issue on my end with incorrect parameters in the scanlist settings. For anyone who might have the same issue make sure you’re reading the included manuals thoroughly, especially the connection points and config. On a Fanuc controller you’ll know if it’s connected when the ethernet ip connection switches from online to running. Thank you for your time!
Great - I’m glad you figured it out! Thanks for the update Mario!
