Error Message in eCatcher

And it was on the same network.

Sorry, I should have also asked you about the service and if it’s running or not:

Can you also answer:
4. What is the version of Windows? Do you have any 3rd party Anti-virus, Firewall, or other security software installed?
5. Please provide the log files from ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\eCatcher-Talk2M\Talk2mVpnService\logs’ and if you are able to open eCatcher, from Settings > System Logs

It seems like there is something either corrupted in your installation, or something internal blocking the VPN service:

2022-07-06T08:48:54,451 INFO - Shutdown hook activated. Shutdown was not called. Shutting down JCS.

I recommend uninstalling again, making sure to reboot after. The install again as Administrator, rebooting when prompted.

If that doesn’t fix it, we’ll have to look at the PC with Teamviewer. There may be something interfering or blocking the VPN service.

I’m going to take this thing home and try it from there.

I uninstalled it. Rebooted PC
Installed it, opened ecatcher and it connected to my remote ewon.
Rebooted PC and I get the same error.

Almost every time we see something like this, it’s some type of security software blocking the service. Can you check with your IT department and let them know that eCatcher is an OpenVPN client, and something is blocking the client from connecting to the VPN service after a reboot? It might be something that is scanning the PC after the reboot.

eCatcher was working fine for quite a while before this started, right? Maybe they have made some type of change recently that you’re not aware of.

Apparently the problem has to do with something with the network at our office, I connected at home no problem.

OK - you can provide IT with the following links to explain how they can allow access:

Talk2M VPN Servers

Let us know if they have any questions.
