LAN WAN addressing

I have a Flexy 205 where lan port1 has address 10.10.10.30. (255.255.0.0)
Attempting to set up Port4 to use as WAN port for Talk2M vpn, but the SSID I have been told to use assigns me a 10.10.100.x address and I get the warning that it has a conflict with the LAN.
Is there a way to make that work?
They want access on the LAN to the Flexy’s Web GUI, but not allowed to get internet access that way.

Hello Iandersson,

I think that this post might help you out with the issues you’re seeing

-Tim

ok, Thanks.
I have a modbus device that this flexy is talking to on the LAN.
It has a 192.168.x.x address and the Flexy currently also have a 192.168.x.x address.
Could the Web GUI be reached on a local LAN 10.10.x.x address or would it have to have a 192.168.x.x address?

Hello,

If you want your Flexy to be able to communicate with the 192.168.x.x range, then the eWON’s IP will need to be in that same subnet.

If you want to be able to reach the web gui, you’ll also need to go to setup>system>communication>networking>security> and go to allow all traffic on WAN connection

ok. As far as the web gui, it appears that it lets me access this even without the “allow all traffic” flagg being set. Or does this chasnge require a reboot?

Hello,

Here’s a document that I think might be able to explain it better:
