How do I set up RSLinx to be able to program Allen Bradley ethernet PLC’s that are hooked up to a Bolt thru an ethernet switch? I can see the Bolt with my laptop bluetooth and also my iphone bluetooth.

Hello @d_hunter,

How are you connecting to the Bolt? The configuration in RSLinx should be similar to any other ethernet connection on your pc.

If the Bolt is configured as an access point you will be connecting to is via your Wireless interface. If you are connecting via Bluetooth while a bit more tricky, here is a post with that includes a walkthough.

How do I configure the Bolt to allow me to connect via bluetooth?

To allow your PC to connect to the Bolt you need to set the Bluetooth mode to NAP (Access Point) mode. This will allow other devices to see it and then connect to it. For RSLinx, I would also add the suggestion to use the EtherNet/IP driver instead of the standard Ethernet driver. This will allow you to assign a specific network adapter, which in this case would be the Bluetooth Personal Device. You will want to be sure that an IP address is attached to that adapter that matches the network of the controller.
