Today we tried to remotely connect to an Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC and we were not able to make a connection via RSLinx. RsLinx could never see the PLC using the ETHIP driver as shown on page 6. Any idea why we cannot make this work?

Please try the following:

  1. Make sure that the firewall is set to Standard in the Ewon’s Property page in eCatcher.

  1. In RSLinx use the Ethernet (not Ethernet/IP) driver and add the PLC’s IP address to the driver.

You should be able to see the PLC now.
