AB7318 Canbus to Ethernet/IP Network Issue

Hi HMS support team,

I am experiencing a network issue with the AB7318.
I have an AB7318 used as a converter between our CompactLogix PLC and the CAN devices. It was connected to the PLC previously. But yesterday the PLC started to not able to detect the AB7318 module.
Below are my observations:

  • The Network light on the unit is flashing green (whichever is connected to the Ethernet network)
  • I am able to ping the AB7318 with the IP address assigned to it.
  • In the Diagnostics tool the network status is shown as Offline even though it is plugged in and the network light is flashing.
  • The PLC is not able to connect to the module.
    Below are what I have tried so far, but still not able to resolve it.
  • Updated the firmware (V 1.12.01)
  • Downloaded the configuration to the device multiple times
  • Rebooted the device.
  • Switched to a different network and PLC.

I wonder what is causing this issue? Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
