Is it possible to configure the device remotely? I.e. use FTP and overwrite the master.txt file?

You can use telnet communicating set up the config files. However, you do lose some features by using this process.
Cool. Would you be able to point me to some documentation?
I am reading the manual (Doc: HMSI-27-251) and it indicates that telnet has General commands, FileSystem Operations and Diagnostic commands. None of those seem to be related to changing configuration.

You are able to pull the files for the Ethernet/IP side, but you will still need to configure the Modbus end locally. Unfortuntaly, local configuration is required for this unit.
