Anybus 7072 DH 485

Hi there,

I have an Allen-Bradley Micrologix PLC connected to a 1761-NET-AIC module. The 1761-NET-AIC has a free RS-485 “Phoenix” style connector that uses Allen-Bradley’s DH485 communication. I have wired a custom cable following the RS485 Pinout shown in the Anybus 7072 manual. the other end of the cable is wired into the 1761-NET-AIC.

I cannot get the subnet to connect. I know that the Anybus 7072 configurator can be setup with DF1 master/slave, but I am also wondering if the Anybus 7072 will be able to communicate to the PLC using DH485.

Thanks,
-Nathan

Hi @nalee,

The Anybus Communicator does not support the DH485 protocol. You will have to use Modbus, DF1, or generic serial.

Thanks for your help!

Just wondering if Anybus has any products that support DH485.
So far I really like the Anybus product. The configurator, manuals, and support are great.

Hi @nalee,

We really appreciate your business and I wish we had something that would work, but unfortunately we don’t have any devices that support DH485.
