Is it possible to configure the AB7632 Gateway as a Modbus server, working as a Modbus master in the network?
What’s the difference between AB7632 and AB9006?
No. The AB7632 can only be configured as a Modbus TCP server (or slave). It’s not possible to configure it as a Modbus TCP master.
While they are both gateways between Modbus TCP and Ethernet/IP, the AB7632 is a Modbus TCP server (or slave) while the AB9006 is a Modbus TCP client (or master). They both have an Ethernet/IP Adapter interface. The HMS-EN2MB-R is a version of the AB9006 that is specifically designed to work with Rockwell controllers and Studio 5000.
