Anybus Communicator model recommendation

Hi, I’m needing help selecting the correct Anybus Communicator model. What I need the device to do is:

  • act as a Modbus master (serial RS485) and read Modbus data from Modbus slave devices
  • send data out on CANbus network in specific telegrams

Modbus serial specs: Baud: 9600, Data bit: 8, Parity: none, Stop bit: 1, Flow control: none
CANbus specs: CAN 2.0 A, 500kBit/sec, 11-bit identifier

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hi @acj,

We unfortunately do not have a single gateway that would be able to do this. The best option would be an ab7316. which is a modbus rtu slave to CAN communicator interface. We do not have a modbus rtu master to CAN only a CANopen slave.

We do not offer any device with a master on both interfaces. The best option would be one of the CAN communicators. Which is a CAN based device capable of producing CAN frames.
