I am the customer service manager for a Manufacuring company. We use the Anybus AB9900-100. If the internal battery dies, would we lose programming that we set in the factory.

If the Internal Battery dies, then it would lose the configuration. The device memory requires the charge from the battery to maintain the configuration.

These batteries generally last 2-3 years. Environmental factors can affect the battery life span as well. It is recommended that they are stored in a cool, dry place away from any Electromagnetic interference.

That may be a potential cause of the issue, but I would suggest creating a ticket in our support page for troubleshooting. There can be many reasons why a device loses it configuration.
