Anybus state depending on network

Hi experts,

It looks like that loss of connection e.g. by removing Ethernet cable causes different reactions depending on network; with Ethernet/IP, Anybus B40 goes to Anybus state ERROR. With Profinet, I get WAIT_PROCESS state. Shouldn’t hat be identical?

Hi Thomas,

What state was the device in for each network type. I believe this can be network specific.

Looking at the EtherNet/IP Spec I see if an exclusive owner connection times out the NS indicator would turn red. I am not finding anything similar for Profinet.

Hi Deryck,

I tested both EtherNet/IP and Profinet when they are in PROCESS_ACTIVE (= process data exchange).
