Bolt Multicast traffic filter to BT wireless segment

Currently, I have the bolt configured a Bluetooth NAP and having clients on the Bluetooth side and Ethernet clients on the LAN side that can enable multicast traffic. The bridge is configured as Standard option. When the multicast traffic is enabled on LAN wired client, the packets are also arriving at the BT side. This has an undesirable behavior as such that floods the BT spectrum, causing drop ours to other more critical control data exchanged between BT/Ethernet devices. Can HMS offer a mechanism (ie. routing table commands) to block multicast traffic? Thank you.

Hello @derekwoo,

The bolt does not have an option to filter traffic and block mulitcast traffic.
Depending on how the devices are used you might be able to use the MAC clone mode to limit the traffic destined to just one device by cloning its MAC.

If you are using ethernet/IP you should be able to change the connections used between the clients and slaves to use a point to point connection reducing multicast traffic on your network.
